In recent years, Chinas low-voltage electrical appliances import and export has been in a deficit state. According to customs statistics, Chinas low-voltage electrical appliance exports last year was 6.339 billion US dollars, an increase of 25.90% over the same period of the previous year; imports were 8.751 billion US dollars, an increase of 20.22%.

At present, there are more than 2,000 low-voltage electrical related export enterprises in China, mainly concentrated in coastal provinces such as Guangdong, Zhejiang and Shanghai.

The person in charge of the Chamber of Commerce said: "At present, there are less than 10 large-scale enterprises with annual sales income and total assets of more than 500 million yuan in Chinas low-voltage electrical appliance production enterprises. Most of them are small and medium-sized enterprises, which leads to the lack of economies of scale and competitiveness. It also leads to excessive dispersion of economic resources and lack of efficiency.

In terms of exports, low-voltage electrical appliances are also affected by technical barriers in Europe and the United States, and the industry lacks regulation and confusion. The establishment of this low-voltage electrical branch will help regulate the import and export of the industry.
